One of our favorite things to do together in Puerto Vallarta is hiking up to Cerro de la Cruz, a beautiful lookout that gives you a 360° view of the city, ocean, and mountains — all in one breathtaking moment.

The hike starts right in downtown Vallarta, through colorful streets and charming cobblestone steps. It’s not too long, but it definitely gets your heart pumping! Along the way, you’ll pass locals, murals, and the sound of city life slowly fading into the background.

When you reach the top, the reward is unforgettable — the entire bay stretched out beneath you, sparkling under the sun or glowing at sunset. It’s the perfect place to catch your breath, take photos, and just be in the moment together.

We always recommend going early in the morning for cooler weather and the best light. Bring water, comfy shoes, and your camera — trust us, you’ll want to capture this view forever.
